Under the peony lantern@ A cautionary tale of sex with the dead (a)

Long ago, on the 1st nite of obon, a widowed samurai named Ogiwara Shinojo sat at hs porch, watchng the day fade in2 nite. To his suprise, a beautiful young lady and her maid who was carrying a lantern emblazoned with a peony walk near. The pair paused to speak with Ogiwara, and he found that the young woman's name to be Otsuyu. An instant attachment was formed and Otsuyu promised to return the following nite, at the same time.
